I Wonder, By Davieo, David Rothchild
I Wonder, by Davieo, David Rothchild
I wonder
How many unchecked lies
A mind
Can handle
Before it just chokes
Ignores, becomes overwhelmed
It just forgets a need
To get the truth about anything
Anything at all...
I wonder
How many stories are told
Some lame, most old, bull bold
Which choking grasping minds hold
Tired of searching they fold
I wonder
How expensive is the truth
Its shelf life, placed in a booth
Surrenders to an onslaught of lies
Sunrises and lives gone, a mother's cries
I wonder
Did it matter in any crisis
That lies still held crazy glue fast
Truth's dark quiet hiding places
Held it useless until Truth's useful moments past
Wonders
Stifled in the cradle
Lost in the tower of babel
Dreams strangled by certain logic
Lost worlds of imagination and liquid magic
Wonders
That want to hurriedly come to life
Boldly held hostage by made up strife
Desires bright rainbow skies to color in
Fire up candy sunshine with a toothy grin
I wonder
Why logic can hold one in such a spell
Hostaging the kaleidoscopic dreams of others
Controlling daytime hours spent in a well
Of time, its a crabshell eternity, which smothers
