I Wonder

I Wonder          

I wonder about the people who left me
Where they all could be
I wonder about them every day
When I’m at rest and when I pray
I wonder if they’re riding high or riding low
If they’re just hanging around or on the go
I sometimes dream about them and really wonder
How can they still be in my dreams 
When they’ve already been put down under
And even though I have faith and believe
There are often days when I still grieve
I can’t prevent my doubts
I can’t stop my fears
And I can’t control my own ideas
But one thing I know is true
I’ll one day be there too
