I Wonder

I wonder if I’ve lived before,
And what my life was like.
Perhaps I was the boy who stuck
His finger in the dyke.
I could have been Napoleon
And lost at Waterloo;
Or might have been the fellow who
Invented Super Glue.
I do not know about the past,
Nor lives I’m yet to see -
But spare a thought for some poor soul
Who finds that he was me.

Jack, I am back here after Soup booting me off the first time I tried to respond to your poem around 9 p.m. this is a GREAT poem. Wish I could be this clever. I am a huge blank for this particular contest. but as usual, you pulled a rabbit out of the hat for it. Thanks for kindly catching up on my poems. I feel so tired, but am waiting up for Joe to give him a late late dinner (fajitas this time). See ya later, alligator.
