I Wished Upon

I wished upon a rainbow 
of yellow, green, and blue, 
that of all the things you hoped for 
would one day come true 

I wished upon a rainbow 
where all love shined so bright 
if trouble should visit you 
you would find God's light 

I wished upon a rainbow 
where the brilliant colors blend 
that you'll always walk in beauty 
among loved ones and friends 

I wished upon a rainbow 
that you'll give your dreams a try 
so that you can grow wings 
and fly above the sky.
