I Wish To Begin Again

As I sat on the bed
reliving the moments we once shared.
It's a shame we can't look at them
in the same light anymore.
Or I can't speak to you
with our eyes locked, with our breaths close,
anymore.
For these bring shade to my field of lilies.
If it's truly easy as I heard-
Start fresh the moments your eyelids pop.
I wouldn't be here, still puzzled,
mindlessly hoping, secretly praying
I didn't have to go through these.
If I can leave the days behind,
slam the door on my tear-soaked eyes;
smile like a proud best man,
one who genuinely cheers for you,
one who knows all limits' length,
one who scores in his own games.
I would be happier.
Happier. His mind crystal clear.
For he only sees himself and not others.
In another show, he begins again.
