I wish that I could write a song

I wish that I could write a song
one that's sweet and kind of long

About a love that's meant to be
A love that's deeper than the sea

That reaches deep within the mind 
Brings back memories so kind

A smile a laugh a longing look
A walk along a babling brook

A song that brings you to my side
And walks you down to be my bride

But I can't write a single word 
I can't be the singing bird

Until I hear it from your voice
My hearts made up and it's now your choice

Come start this song with me today
And add to it with every day

A new line of melody 
A new line of harmony

About two lives that are well lived
About two lives that we freely give

In service to the King of Kings
Who makes the music and the angels sing

To live and serve our fellow man
For Gods sweet mercy take this stand

I am reaching out to you 
Will you reach out for me too

We will walk and we will dance
We will fight and take this chance

To find what Father has for us
Until we lay within the dust

And raise again on that glorious day
Well done my child we'll hear Him say

I wish that I could write that song
But it takes two and I am alone
