I Wish I Wish

I wish I wish
On a moon so bright,
Please grant my wishes
As I dream tonight.

Keep my family safe
And bless them with prosperity,
Touch their hearts with love
And teach them sincerity.

Grant me the courage
To face my fears,
And the simple strength
To move my peers.

Bless me with the gift
To touch another heart,
And make them believe
Compassion is an art.

Give me the patience
To turn an enemy into my friend,
And help bring violence
To a peaceful end.

Teach me to appreciate
All that I possess,
And banish the yearning
For material success.

Guide me with strength
Through each difficult task,
And greet each day
With a confident mask.

Oh harvest moon
So big and bright,
Please grant my wishes
For the words I write.

Agree with James. Such innocence. So fresh.

liked the rhyming in this one, it flowed very well, and such a beautiful piece.
