I Wish I Was At Home Now Drinking Beer
I wish I was at home now drinking beer
Sitting at my warped wooden table
With a view of the village clock tower
& the little dog snapping at fat
Autumn flies
I wish I could sleep through
All the slow hours
& dress each evening
For parties & conversation
With people who are not
Halfwits & bores
I wish I was opening the
Refridgerator right now
& fishing out a cold bottle
& a jar of olives
While ellington or parker
Play in the other room
& it´s not quite dark yet
& only good things are possible
