On a Sunday summer afternoon
On my hammock swinging under days moon
I had a dream of whimsical delight
I was an elephant, taking flight
My wings would take me on voyages far
When others looked up, I’d be a most handsome star
I’d fly up high in the cloud filled sky
The elephant who thought he was a butterfly
When I was young the others laughed at me
With big ears, they would not let me alone you see
Now I am the elephant who roams far and free
Flying with wings that angels made just for me!
