I Wish I Was A
Coral Bell was a dainty, delicate faerie.
She often wore the colors of the sea
Her iridescent gowns shimmered
Sparkling with pearls and rhinestones
Reminding the mermaids of ocean waves
I wish I was a faerie, said a mermaid, to herself.
I wish I was a mermaid, Coral Bell thought.
Neither realizing they were perfect the way they were.
