I WISH I HAD

I WISH I HAD I wish I had courage The cowardly Lion admitted To stand up and be bold Against a foe when pitted I wish I had a heart The Tin Man strongly desired To feel emotions once again And to become inspired I wish I had brains The scarecrow keenly sought To work out hard equations And solve clues of every sort I wish I was home It was what Dorothy yearned To return soon to Kansas With lessons she had learned I wish I had a bone Toto slavered at the thought But waiting until outside Just as he’d been taught

we all have our 'wish I had's...using the ones from the Wizard of Oz including Toto was brilliant. Maybe, like, Toto, our wish I had's aren't as important as the journey to achieve them as did Dorothy, the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion. I enjoy your creative, poetic voice. Have a pleasant evening, Sara
