I Wish I Could Hold You
The night is bright and the stars shine
Your eyes reflecting the glow, and my heart whines
For even though you are near, I can’t be with you
I wish I could just hold you
Happy people, smiles all around
Dancing feet, the rhythmically swaying ground
I am being crushed inside, I long to touch you
I wish I could just hold you
I look into your eyes and my soul sings
My fantasies soar on love’s wings
Into your arms I want to melt and be one with you
Oh! How I wish I could hold you
I am sure we’ll be together, like there will be sun in the sky
When it will be only happiness, we won’t have to cry
When I will hold you in my arms and talk to you
Holding you close, but still missing you
