I Wish

I wish I could hold you,
Press my comforting softness to
you,
And kissing you,
Seek out your secret sorrows.
I would soak your sadness into my
chest,
Enclose it in me and step away.
I would leave you pain free,
Warmed with sweet memories,
Of love...loss and delightfully heady,
Unequal smiles.
I would walk with your blues,
Leave you with a voice and a
picture.
I would think it a red wrapped gift.
To be able to repay you
For all you have been for me
My dearest man .

One hell of a declaration. The mood & boldness in these lines are fierce. Excellent job!
