I Wish

I wish I had something of worth to give. Something that goes beyond just words and dreams. Something to make your life more fun to live. Something more tangible than merely schemes. I wish I could offer more than just hope That some day some where we might find success. But everywhere I turn the voice says, "Nope..." And I pretend that it's all for the best. I wish the beauty in my heart and mind, The poems, the prayers, and all the melodies, Could help your lonely soul leave fear behind And know there is no world of "only me..." I wish that I could offer you all good. That is what I'd give to you if I could.
