I WISH

I wish
you would meet me
In such a way
That it feels like
we are meeting
for the first time
With love in our eyes
A bit of confession
A bit of acceptance
A bit of denial
A bit of disagreement.

I wish you
would meet me
In such a way
That you bring
the moon and stars
just for me
Scatter flowers
on my path just for me
Remove the thorns
from my way just for me
And if death itself comes
Embrace it for me.

I wish
you would meet me
In such a way
That it feels like
we were never apart
Make promises
To stand by me
Not to forget me
To live together
To die together.

I wish
you would meet me
In such a way.
