I Wish

I wish I had
A way to say
I’ll love you til
The break of day.

But when the morning
fog doth lift
A mystery hath
Left us betwixt.

While sunshine spins
A merry-go round
Into my heart
Earth too confounds.

But if brighter days
give way to fruit
I’ll love you - I love you
Til death has no room.
