I Will Rise Again
I WILL RISE AGAIN
I could never be defeated
I have hope inside my soul
My throne I will be seated
As I remain in total control
Whispered words beguile
But inside my heart glows
Gone are words you revile
My body takes your blows
I have soothed the demon
Lay to rest all of my ghosts
Lay waste others scheming
Sworn not to other’s oaths
In death, I will be anointed
In prayers, I will be blessed
My fame thus be appointed
My sins more as confessed
My heart was made of iron
Although it shall never rust
Nor melted in the hot pyre
Buried with me in this dust
It shall rest for many a year
Before I rise again on earth
To rise again as a true Amir
To a new nation in its birth
