I Will Repent

It is true God sacrificed himself To wash clean all of the sins
We have and haven't committed But this does not mean we can take that for granted
The lord gave his instruction On the way he would like for it to be Then gave us the ability to make the choice for ourselves I will not be the one to walk through heavens gate Without doing my best to repent my sins Or at least as many as I can before my time is up
When I picture myself not repenting I see my Lord hanging on the cross Dehydrated barely able to open his eyes And then I spit in his face The thought alone brings tears to my face
Such a wonderful gift he has graced us with But for Gods love I will rectify my life Because it is up to me and me alone To turn my wrong into right Even with him it being alright He deserves more then I could every wish to give We all owe him our souls for eternity
