I Will Repay

I Will Repay

My house is called a house of prayer
But you have made it into a den of thieves
And there’s not a single heart that care
Just charlatans with tricks up their sleeves

Prosperity is what you seek
Works is the ministry that enslaves you
You’ve perfected your technique
You know the truth, and this is what you do!

All of your sacred rituals bore me to tears
As your ministry embraces guilt and condemnation
My people have been held captive for years
You’ve been walking a path of religious indignation

You elevate yourself at the expense of the poor
As your barns are filled to overflowing
You’re not a minister, you’re just an entrepreneur
And your popularity is steadily growing

The leaven that you use
As a salve to my peoples ears
Gives rise to some very distorted views
Keeping them hostage to their fears

And yet, you claim to be satisfied
Not knowing you have received your reward
It's because of you why my Son is being denied
As for your prayers they will continue to be ignored

Your truth is your own
I will not tolerate this mess
So many are heartbroken and alone
All you’ve done was witness to the flesh

Yes the thief will come in the night
As you continue to go about your day
As for my people too weak to fight
Remember, vengeance is mine I will repay
