I Will Not Give In
As the Night dawns,
And the skies turn dark,
As shadows roam my lawn,
And make their mark.
My soul resembles,
The shadows steps,
Dark and purposeless,
Lifeless and upset.
I search everyday,
For the Light,
I hope and pray,
That it’s worth the fight.
As I progress,
On my journey,
I worry less,
Of how my story,
Is going to end,
Of what I’ll find.
I will win,
Break the bind.
And night will always,
Come after the day,
The dark will descend,
But I won’t flee.
I will stand,
And fight the night,
And at the end,
Hold up the light.
