I Will Love You Until My World Has Passed
I will love you until my world has passed
though I offer it not a moment more,
because love is too good to last and last.
The first love among rosy cheeks comes fast
which is far too soon to forget; therefore
I will love you until my world has passed.
A truce among parallel souls unmasked,
it blossomed then withered, which I adore
because love is too good to last and last.
Immeasurable love, pure, humble, vast,
like fuel and fire igniting my core,
I will love you until my world has passed.
Dwelling on a memory you cast,
the hot hunger for the craving before
Because love is too good to last and last,
its tender meaning cannot be surpassed
by quelling the heart; in fact, much more
I will love you until my world has passed
Because love is too good to last and last.
