I Will Be Spring

When I close my eyes the final time
So grant me this last request
In a quiet place with sunshine
There to let my ashes rest

Leave me there among willows
In the shade and grassy slopes
There with moss as my pillows
Let me feed the seeds of hope

Again, again I shall be born
Come and find me there
Yes the robin will show you
Show you the way to where

Each spring I’ll wake again
I’ll wake with newborn green
Painted freshly with the rain
I will wake, yes you will see
