I Whispered Your Name
I whispered your name sweetly to the clouds
They said one as beautiful as you is not allowed
For if within the sky you are to take your place
Even the sun would be jealous of your face
Together the stars conspired to keep you on earth
aware of your beauty since the day of your birth
They said to remain until you're old and grey
When you've dimmed a bit in the clouds you can play
They were not aware that your beauty comes from inside
Here on earth it moves the mountains and the tide
So now the world is more gorgeous than the sky
If only the clouds and stars had just let you fly
Inspired by Casarah's "If The Clouds Allow" poem.
Dedicated to my Sweetie who becomes more beautiful
with each passing moment.
