I Was the Picture In a Frame

I was the picture
In a frame
A tornado moved
Me from the wall
Though my framework
Is bent and dented
I smile throughout
It all.
I was the picture
In a frame
Raging floods
Carried me away
My framework
Swelled and molded
Still my smile
it did not sway
One day the sun
Came shining through
Reflection fades to
Transparency
The effigy truly
Peeled and torn
IT WASN'T ME!

Truly beautiful poem. Its the adversities that we meet and triumph over that makes us who we are. A7
