I Was Brave To Ask You

I don’t know how to say this but ima be brave
The answer that’s in my mind I’m hoping you’ll say
So ima ask you without feeling afraid
Waiting for you to respond as I look upon your face
If it’s a no that’s all you have to say don’t be afraid
I was brave to ask you so please don’t feel dismayed
Still waiting for an answer patiently you see
As my eyes stare at you and yours stare at me
The silence keeps me waiting very anxiously
I can tell the answer by the echo of your heartbeat
I was brave to ask you and I’m waiting for you to answer me
In my mind I see a vision not a dream
Because maybe one day it might be you and me, don’t know what the future will be
I’m not sure what you think of me
Just waiting patiently to see if this vision will be a reality
When I look at you I see a very handsome young man
The woman that is talking to you in this poem, hopes you’ll understand
The words that she’s not mouthing but speaking, grammatically and properly
She wants to tell you she likes you but doesnt know if you like her
I don’t want you to answer I want you to whisper
So I can hear it clearly so my heart will feel better
Still waiting very anxiously for the answer you see
Wondering if you do or do not like me
Tell me the truth and I’ll accept it
Hey I was brave to ask you, I wanted the answer, and I waited patiently.

Taking on something that may be unattainable, but you have to find out. If he ignores you and the poem it will be a setback, sure, but if he smiles and whispers in your ear, the race is on for happiness everlasting. I'm rooting for you.

Good write here Alyssa, hope to see more from you. Comment on others work they mostly comment in return. And they don't call her PD for fun, it's just quicker than writing Poet Destroyer every time lol, but she will look out for you. Take care, Richard
