I was a King of Light
Starry Eyed on a Starry Night, I was lost inside
like a Shooting Star, Flame and Fire Intertwined
Pondering like a Heathen of Knights
Wondering, Gazing, upon the cusps of Eternal Life
what thence fore is I, when I have not Truly Lived
to wield a Boon, to wield a Torch, towards True North, my Soul Drifts
shall I commence an Excellent Dream
or shall I give in to what it may seem,
shall I Birth Forth a New Dawn from within
when all seems lost, when the troughs drift to High Thoughts upon a whim
shall I unmask the Shadows and Veils that swallow the Flame,
or grow Wings, to chase Dreams, for Heavens Sake
shall I acquire a Virtue of Solace or a Great Storied Ballad
or a Crook and a Flail or a Chalice,
shall I chase Stars when Ideals are things of past
when Fields of Dreams are deserted like a worn-out Hourglass,
shall I acquire a Shield, a Helmet, or a Sword perhaps
like Days of Old, like Chivalric Pasts
shall I Stomp through the Barren Wastelands a Prince a Paladin
where the Rivers don't flow, where there is No Hope and No Passions
and there where the Paths were Weary, I Stood Upright
and what was Found, was Claimed, I Was A King Of Light
