I Was a Fool
I was a fool to think you were a friend,
I have to admit you are good at pretend.
I opened my heart and the door to my home,
now I just want you to leave me alone.
You took advantage of me big mistake
you thought I had a heart that was able to break.
You had a plan all along to deceive
I was a fool, ignorant and naïve
You mistook my kindness for weakness; unfair
I gave you everything that I could spare
I hope you get what is coming soon
Karma will need a whole day to take care of you.
For you I didn't dare let out one single tear
if anything my eyes have opened, now I see clear
I will not forget and I refuse to forgive
I will move on, I'll continue to live
I hope this wakes you up in your sleep
I was the one that was worth it to keep.
Now you'll never know what could have been
you could've had the lawn that's always green.
