I Want You In My Net

It is easy to make a proposal
Just as easy as a disposal
I do love you with all my heart
So this is where I must start

I have been lonely so long
Til I met you it was all wrong
When I did ask you out
I did take the right route

If you knew that I had sinned
Would you still take me in
Now that I brought it about
Would you want to kick me out

If it was not as bad as you thought
Would you want to take me out
If it was not even what is a sin
Would you still try to keep me in

I have never hurt anyone on purpose
Would rather take them all to a circus
True love should always be fun
Not something you can get on the run

I want to make you a proposal
Will never need a disposal
If you will marry me now
I will show you just how

My mind is quite set
I want you in my net
So that we may traverse
This big universe

I belong in your heart
Always doing my part
In my heart you will be
Yes for always you’ll see

Show her this poem and I bet she'll say yes, John. It's uplifting to read about your future prospects for happiness. Best Wishes for the Holiday Season! Love, Carolyn
