I Want You Back For Good

A dried old red rose bud I find
Among the pages of a book I rarely turn.
Kept it seems like an age ago,
As remembrance of a moment
I knew I'l always cherish.
Some tear-stained crumpled old letters
Mildewed with time ,I read and re-read.
And the memories of the past
Flash back into my mind.
And each forgotten moment once again I relive.
Re-living the moments dead and lost
In the folds of eternity for good.
Only one feeling aches my heart,
Only one passion burns it;
If only I could have you back for good.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
