I Want To Live

The day passes by
At the gigantic speed of a bullet train
I can’t help but watch it go away
The aspirations are tossed in the air with a jerk
They keep soaring high in the sky for sometime
Like flares of rotten paper
While descending they land on my face
One after another
Like the dull evening light slanting upon barren fields
I want to bask in the day light
I want to live every moment of that glory
But alas,
All I can see at the end
Is just a thin trail of dust
That keeps pricking my eyes.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
