I Want To Be With You
Maybe we should take a minute,
Think a bit,
Maybe this wasn't meant to be,
Us I mean.
I'm sorry,
I don't want to hurt you,
That's the last thing I want to do,
I just don't think it was meant to be.
Don't say you haven't ever hurt me,
You have,
You know you have,
Why can't you admit it?
You used to talk to me,
I was the only one around,
Now all you do is act like I'm not around,
I don't want to need.
I don't like where this is headed,
I can feel tears,
Don't touch me,
It's like salt on a wound,
Your voice stings me,
Don't pretend like you don't know,
I'm running from what I never knew.
I won't lie either,
I miss you,
You were my demise and I love you so,
But did you ever love me?
And there's some other stuff I can't,
Won't explain,
Too little space on this page,
And too much time on my hands.
Most of all,
I want you to know,
I'm still here for you to cry on,
When and if you need me.
I wish you look,
Good luck, good bye.
On second thought,
Don't go,
I don't want to say goodbye when we just said hello.
It's too early to let go of what,
What we had before,
I love you,
But do you love me?
Should we let go?
Should we move on?
Maybe you had before we began,
I don't know.
Right now all I feel is lost,
And all I know is pain,
And hurt,
And I remember your last words,
"Maybe we should just be friends"
I don't want to be just friends,
I want to be with you.
