I Want To Be In Love
I want to be in love
with a rosy blush upon my cheeks
a pounding in my breast
a glistening twinkle in my eye
a yearning at last fulfilled.
Can you feel it?
Do you remember youth
days of not recognizing all we felt
trembling with an inner passion rising
longing for a touch, a kiss, acknowledgment
aching at its want and need to be
in love.
