I Want a Cat
Ever since I moved from my old house
Though not burdened with bird or mouse
Though no pests, no moles nor rat
I have found myself REALLY wanting a cat
Without a feline residing with me
I find myself exceedingly empty
Without a furry, purry kitty
I must say this new apartment is quite a pity!
I haven’t a clue how much a bald one costs
At any rate, without ANY, I’m so lost
Missing that quiet, warm, sweet enmity
Alas! A cat is my only remedy
