I Wander The Desert Alone
There are those hidden days
I wander the desert all alone;
those barren, stretch of miles,
when life is such a challenge.
As I push through hot mounds
of the deep and shifting sand
in that unforgiving heat of day,
with steady unrelenting thirst,
there is no satisfaction of relief...
not a single drip-drop in sight.
At day's end, I bear cold nights,
lacking warmth and comfort.
Oh, for an oasis to fill my eyes
with new hope to end this pain.
Please, my dear God, save me
with the answers to my prayer.
