I Wait
i wait for a phone call any time of day
i wait for the day i will see you again
i wait for to finally hear your voice
i wait because i need to see you again
patience they say it will come in time
but i have never been one to be patient
time drags on as i sit and wait
another minute of torture passes
i wait for your e-mail with a smiling face
i count the days until i see you again
i wait for your smile or the touch or your hair
i wait for you as i hope you are waiting for me
time can pass but i will not care
wasting my time just waiting
for it will be worth while in the end
when i can finally see you again
i wait as i wait
i wait as i sit
i wait for life to finally bring
my love, my darling to have time to ring
