I Try
I try to be the supportive person you need
Inside it kills me to see you hurt
I don’t want to see you bleed
You can’t always be alert
I can’t stop you from following your dreams
You want me to have it all
I find this all a little extreme
Somedays I feel ever so small
I can’t be the one to hold you back
I want to be with you all the time
I cringe at the first smack
I just want you to be only mine
