I Trust Him

Dear God, the great I AM
Please hear my voice as I pray.
Your goodness lights up the day
With the love of the wonderful Lamb

There are problems warring against my soul
Deadly trials that keep me in despair
I ask you once more to answer my prayer
Please take the dread and worry under your control

Dear God, You are so full of mercy
I know you will bless my heart and spirit
With assurance of promises that won’t limit
I can trust you to bless me despite controversy

There are assurances found inside the pages
Of the Bible, so profound and inspirational
That I believe they’re alive, so sensational
Your wonders and insights will embrace the ages

Dear God, I will continue to praise You
Through the best and the worst that come
Until I can eat from your table a crumb
Reaching out to You who I always knew

From my time inside my mother’s womb
There was a knowledge of You, the Lamb
The all-knowing God of our Father, Abraham
Jesus, who will be coming back a bridegroom

Taking up His church to heaven above
Awakening the spirits in their graves
Taking even those buried inside caves
To a place that is born of pure sweet love.
