Notes About The Poem

I Tried To Tell You

Well I tried to tell you
But you wouldn't listen,
You just wouldn't listen to me.
I tried to say that I was unhappy
and I was gonna set you free.

I tried to tell you but you wouldn't listen,
no matter how hard I cried.
I tried to tell you, but you wouldn't listen.
So now I'm saying goodbye.

I tried to tell you early in the morning,
I tried to give you warning,
I tried to tell you in the afternoon,
that I'd be leaving you soon.

I tried to tell you late at night,
you just weren't treating me right.
I tried to tell you but you wouldn't listen,
So now I'm saying goodbye.

I tried to tell you but you wouldn't listen
so now I'm saying good...................bye.
