I Traveled Your Highway
I traveled your highway
Weary to the bone
Day after day
With God to guide my way
Facing the unknown.
I traveled your highway
Looking for a troubled child who was more than a
Run away.
I was torn at the places I was shown.
Day after day
I was on the freeway
Hoping by the time I found you you wouldn't be full
Grown.
I traveled your Highway
Looking in each and every archway
Until I had to give up the grindstone.
Day after day
I would pray
That God would send you home on your own.
I Traveled your Highway
Day after day.
