I Took a Walk

I took a walk by a river today
And it was a cold one at that
Saw the clouds all passing by
One was even wearing a hat
I thought about lessons learned
In the love not always shown
It's leaving with the twilight's care
In the ways not always know
I saw a picture of a way to see
It had a heart in half for a love to last
Then yesterday’s gone and the radio's on
Playing a song called “Remember Me”
But clouds don't hold no memories
For the turns of each heart on hold
There the stars look tired ahead’s
High wired in the ways not always told
I took a walk by the river today
And all the seasons seemed to sigh
I saw a sign on my way back home
It said the rivers name was Why
