I Thought You Loved Me

I Thought You Loved Me I thought you Loved me. How could I know that you were only putting on a show. With kisses and sweet words, you took me to heaven and than you let me fall. A good Actor'" you turned out to be, the best that in my life, I would ever see. How ironic can life be? The one that I loved the most, betrayed me. I thought you loved me. Now my life is almost ending and I still think of you. Tell me - have you changed, or are you still one and the same...

Dear Lucilla, An enchanting poem -very touching -very well worded. I admire your writing skill. Thanks for visiting my poem Why Am I and appreciating my thoughts. Your admiration is a source of encouragement for me. Most of us are so engaged in the meaningless activities of life that we have no time to ponder over the purpose of life itself. My vision says, the purpose is to love. Nothing else. -Mohammad

Some people's life is like this. They are the false actors in real life, I think. One thing is clear from your poem is that somethings are there in life which can't be forgot and cause inner damage in whole life and amounts to tragedy. Very sad poem nicely worded. Loved always, my beautiful lovely friend, bl

This poem of dignified heartache reminds that at the end of the day we can only own the love in our hearts, and the love that we give to others, that we can't control the way others choose to show their love for us. This poem is significant. J.A.B.

Yes, Lucilla, some betrayals stay with us for many years. We think about them and feel old emotions. Very thoughtful poem.
