I Thought I Knew

I was clueless when I thought that when my children grew up and on Their own, I would no longer worry. They've grown up and now I worry more when I got married, I didn’t think I could love her more then I did then. but after many years my love for her grew such, that I would give my soul to her. When young, I felt I knew more then my parents. I thought I was smarter for their way of thinking was old fashion. As I got older I realized my parents grew very wise. When I was young I thought love and miracles were a sham, a cure-all for their troubles. As I gained experience, I know now this wasn’t true. I wonder whether Love and miracles are all around us, waiting for our senses to grow sharper. I know now that love and miracles are related for they have served me well.

I love this, Carlos. This is so true, when we're young we think we know everything, but then we grow up and grow wiser and realize we were wrong. Love this introspective write.

Yes Becca, life either teaches us or we decide not to heed its lessons.
