I Thought

It's not always easy to untighten a jar. But for years, changing the oil in my car Was like taking candy from a baby. Or like showing respect to a lady. But don't take 'easy' for granted, Or you may someday live to regret it. For example, take a look at what I did one time. My auto's oil level indicated that it needed some. No problem, because I had oil in the trunk. I thought. So, I grabbed the gallon can of leftover oil, headed for the hood, and poured the oil into the engine. I thought. My car was more than a little upset with what I had done. A senior moment or not, I was more than speechless. I later discovered that the assumed oil was not really oil. I thought to myself, "What on God's earth was I thinking?" To my chagrin, my utter dismay, it was leftover anti-freeze. I can't believe that I thought that.
