I Think Therefore I Write Poetry

in the days of Sodom time was forgotten,
saw a little baby angel tap my shoulder
remember your youth before you get older
darkened hearts get a bit colder

there's much peril in these times of reasoning
in light of the valiant hearts the courage to sing
look at the swan desperate in the pond
 the fawn searching for grass

no one gets by on any free pass
we are all in the same cage here
the philosophical swag of how we portray the ***
live with a voice with a new found choice

to navigate in each heart to create
sealed by fate we have come to contemplate
I breath so therefore I write
I have a fan base built in harmony's call

look deep my dear brother under the covers
is it any wonder I think therefore I write poetry
can't you see I'm building forth a legacy
 for everyone to see
