I Think Therefore I Am Or Am I
~I Think Therefore I am, or Am I~
"I think therefore I am",
Or that’s what I used to think it said.
But I’m not so sure now, it’s something else instead.
"I fink therefore I am", is the new way to learn,
We hear it everywhere, but it’s so hard to discern.
‘Is it free as not paying for?’ this question I ask
‘For the two pounds of apples, for my luncheon repast.’
“Oh don’t be so fick there’s free pound to pay,”
“I owe you 2 quid so here you are now - good day.”
‘But how can that be, if you said it was free?
I looked at him and stood very still.
“I fink you are fick, he looked at me quick”
“Pay what you owe, or feel this you will.”
He raised up his fist, it was tight in a ball,
I thought I’d better leave now or not leave at all.
“I fought it was strange when you entered my store,
All posh and stuck up, and I could say more.”
‘I asked for three pounds of apples and you said to me,
There you go mate that’s it, your free.’
‘I’m puzzled and shocked and not faintly amused
I fought he was fick but now it’s been proved.
I thought I was right and I know now that I am
It’s not me at all it’s that damn apple man.
