I Think I'M Losing Myself

I think I'm losing myself.
The girl I was,
is not the woman I have become.
Somewhere between high school and university.
Sometime between naiive belief, 
and bitter disillusionment,
I think I lost the spark in my eye.
Words don't create music in my heart anymore.
My thoughts don't flow like they used to.
As i bury my feelings further and deeper within,
words have lost their magic in my heart.
But I'm hoping to start again.
This woman, as she makes a feeble attempt.
Hopefully who I am today,
will weave music with her words again...

I believe it is because we have an inner unknown need to take the next step forward and find ourselves again. Now, after some seven decades, I am looking once again, sure by past past experiences, to fond yet another self, lost and misplaced but still, alive. You are not alone in your search.
