I Think I Like Freud

I think I like Freud
Because he is so personal
He does make me into an anology
That I am objectified
And alienated from myself
This pop culture venture
Called emotional Intelligence
Is it way to bring back
Remnants of Freud
Or do we salvage Darwin
You know we can always make things
A little less crude
I am not talking libido at all
Nor did they tell me
What is the purpose of the Oedipus
When father died and mother followed
Parting the soft hair of night with a pillow
Please do not misunderstand
I am a wholly fit emotional man
I think like Freud
Only because he is the fellow
That warned me about the imagination
The ego cathexed purest part of me
And turned my id to poetry
