I Thank God, He Gifted Me You

For you were born to Earth as a man
To follow along by His mighty plan
To bring forth hope and faith to all mankind
Knowing what lay ahead, you did not mind.

God by His hand, a gift beyond measure
Through eternity, for all to treasure
A babe in a manger, the story told
A Father’s Son, born for all to behold.

An innocent child, full wisdom within
On to a hallowed life, soon to begin
A star shown at your birth for all to see
As in ages past, He brought you to me.

A soul full of love, a faith that is true
For that I thank God, He gifted me you!

A perfect poem. Right now reading this was perfect for me, my mood and spirit felt the pefectness of each feel so well revealed in each line of impressive stanzas. So perfect was the flow and rhyme, that I appreciated your poem, perfectly. And that's what happened! Thank you! All the best ... CayCay
