I Tell the Setting Sun
I TELL THE SETTING SUN
I tell the setting sun to wait,
it’s not time to go down with the day yet.
The sky hasn’t splashed all the sun’s colors
the stretched clouds are longing to wrap over.
It’s not time to go down with the day yet
for the crimson sun floating on the horizon.
The stretched clouds are longing to wrap over
the sun’s last rays of warmth and shimmer.
`
For the crimson sun floating on the horizon
the flowers haven’t finished making fragrance.
The sun’s last rays of warmth and shimmer
like the beacon distant glow they would shower.
The flowers haven’t finished making fragrance
in the gleaming flashes of the twilight hours.
Like the beacon distant glow they would shower
on the path to my home I haven’t reached yet.
In the gleaming flashes of the twilight hours
the sky hasn’t splashed all the sun’s colors
on the path to my home I haven’t reached yet,
I tell the setting sun to wait.
