I Still Write Poems- Just Not For You

I Still Write Poems(Just Not For You)

When she walked out......
My aspiration became living
It's so easy to lose
Track of a plan

Because for years
My soul had been dying
Yet my heart
Fell right into her hands

I still write poems
Just not for you
They ended the moment
When you said that we were through

So please don't you walk away
Without me telling you the truth
I still write poems
Just not for you

She hoped that her leaving
Would become my demise...
But why should I lose all sight
It just opened up my eyes

She thought that she was special
The only inspiration I'd find
Like a cloud to the rain
Or a verse to a rhyme

I still write poems
Just not for you
They ended the moment
When you said that we were through

So please don't you walk away
Without me telling the truth
I still write poems
Just not for you

If she's wondering how I'm doing
Tell her my rainbows still fall
My tears have all dried up
And a new love comes to call

She's no longer the reason
Of my thoughts for these words
My new love's my inspiration
They're all written for her

Our final goodbye
Is here written just for you
I still write poems
Just not for you

Yes I still write these poems
Just not for you
